A message just for you
The end of the year is approaching, and so many things have happened! This was not an easy decision; it has been on my mind for several months now. To show acceptance and see this as a learning moment in a chapter of life, rather than as a failure, is not always an easy task. It is with sadness, and a touch of lightness, that I announce today the closure of Tricote Moé Ça.
It has now been 5 years (yes, time flies!) since Tricote Moé Ça opened. It has been an incredible adventure! What will stay with me the most is meeting such amazing people. Listening to your stories, chatting about everything and nothing, simply sharing my passion with other passionate people. Some of you have even become friends.
Time is a rare commodity, and getting caught in an endless whirlwind of projects and obligations can easily put on blinders what we truly want in life. That is what happened. Wanting to do everything, wanting to do too much, made me miss out on incredible moments — due to lack of energy and fatigue. Having a full-time job that I already love, my hobbies such as weaving, spinning, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying nature have taken a hit. This situation no longer makes me happy, and in moments like these, you have to know how to make choices.
I look forward to finding the energy again to spend entire days at the loom. I look forward to spinning with a joyful heart, without thinking about the mountain of obligations behind me. Simply reading a book by the fireplace without thinking of anything else.
I plan to continue the Master Spinner course at Olds College for my personal enjoyment and because learning brings happiness. I remain available if you have any questions! I will be happy to chat with you. My social media pages will be dedicated to the spinning and weaving projects I create, much like a personal log devoted to textile arts.
So I want to say a big thank you to all of you for these years during which you encouraged me, trusted me, and shared your passion. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
Marie-Pier
