Betty Briand’s interest in textiles has its roots in her rural childhood — weaving, spinning, natural dyeing, knitting, rope-making... Nurtured by the passion passed down from her grandparents and strengthened by solid training with Anglo-Saxon teachers, she became a full-time weaving instructor. Today, she teaches numerous students—some coming from far away—at her ARTissage workshop-school in Chinon, Touraine, while continuing her research on the subject.
